Social media. Workplace culture. Influencers. Diet industry. Algorithms. Family expectations.
We are living with a dizzying array of rules to live by and the rules are multiplying faster than we can examine them. Diet culture writes esepcially vicious rules and we absorb them on autopilot, and wonder why we feel fragmented, exhausted, and disconnected from what we actually want.
What if you could examine them? And choose consciously which ones to keep?
Breaking the diet and body image rules
Group Programme
Reclaim your life from the rules you never chose. Step out of autopilot and start living life consciously.
Join Breaking the Rules for a specialised, 6 week group to surface and shift the unwritten rules governing how we relate to our bodies. Diet culture writes especially vicious rules. Let's examine them together and choose consciously what we keep.
Run in collaboration with marissa-catherine carrarini, Nutritional Therapist.
How we surface and shift your unwritten rules:
REFLECT: Identify the unwritten rules that have been driving your behavior, choices, and self-perception. What are they? Where did they come from? When did you learn them?
RECONSIDER: Examine each rule critically. How well has this been working for you? What is it costing you? Is there another way? Could a different rule serve you better?
RECONNECT: Tune into your own unique needs, values, and desires—not what you have been told to want, but what you actually want. What matters to you when all the noise quiets down?
RE-EMERGE: Design a life based on conscious choice. Refocused on what is genuinely important to you. Reinvigorated with clarity about your path forward.
This is for you if…
> You know you hold some unhelpful beliefs or behaviours around food and are ready to identify and challenge them
> You’re ready to learn coping strategies and techniques to step away from restrictive beliefs and behaviours
> You’re ready to tune into your own needs rather than being ruled by “shoulds” or “oughts”
> You need support in developing self-compassion and challenging self-criticism
> You recognise the harmful nature of diet culture’s rules and restrictions but you need help to cultivate your own self-care needs and navigate the conflicting advice around exercising and diet

“I knew it would be a really kind and safe space but I was nervous that I wouldn’t feel comfortable. But it really was a wonderful experience and Marissa and Natalie made it a warm and caring space and brought a lot of practical and relevant perspectives that helped challenge in a positive way.”

“I would definitely recommend. I enjoyed the experience immensely and it really changed my perspective. I have taken a way lots of good tools to challenge all the rules I’ve listened to and believed most of my life.”
